Baby Portraits (ages 0-2)

As our advert says, “children and parents are much more relaxed in their own home” so our baby photography happens in your own front room. All we need is a small floor space in front of a window and your WOWshots photographer will bring everything else that is needed.

Photography sessions can last anything from 30 minutes to 2 hours. You know more than anyone how your little angel/devil is feeling the day of the shoot, so if it looks like they need some time to settle down (or liven up) then that's fine with us. Your photographer will just get a better chance to talk to you about what you would like out of the photography session, your likes and dislikes, location of images in your home and preference of image sizes.

Our aim is to capture natural images of your children that truly reflect their personalities so when the time is right for the photographer to start the session, equipped with the knowledge you have given them, they will produce a uniquely tailored session just for you and your little one.

We always use natural sunlight as our first choice, but if that option is not available, we will use a specialist studio light (not a flash). These specialist lights are known as cool lights and even after being switched on for 2 hours are cool enough to touch by hand.

Tots & Children Portraits (ages 2-6)

We prefer to photographing young children in a familiar environments, whether it's their home, garden or a favourite park, this keeps it relaxed and fun (on occasion we direct groupings if you have more than one child) most of the time is spent watching the action unfold, capturing the excitement and fun of whatever they do, whether it is playing in the sand pit, kicking a football, or hunting for monsters in the long grass. The essential thing is that it is fun. This way we can capture natural portraits of your children, and a true reflection of their personality. with siblings we hope to capture that vital bond between them, that split second in time capturing that look or that touch.

We are very flexible about these sessions but they tend to last between one or two hours but that is entirely dependent on the child, we are more than happy to keep shooting just as long as they are enjoying themselves.

Flexibility - You know more than anyone when the best time is for child, but we tend to find that the majority of children are better in the morning so just let us know when booking, if you need an early morning shoot then that is fine with us one of our photographers has to be up at 5am to feed the horses so a 7am start wouldn't be an issue.

Each and every shoot is important to WOWshots and we aim to produce everything we have told you, and our WOWshots photographer will put every effort into achieving it.

After the session

Within 7 days of the session we will contact you to arrange a viewing session. Depending on your requirements this usually includes a DVD slide show of all the photos we have taken, then we proceed to a viewing of your printed package.

If you like it then buy it, if not then don't, that's fine we will not pressure you into a sale. WOWshots would rather you didn't buy something that isn't right for you. Our best advert is our customers so we want you to be happy.

If you do like the package and want to go ahead with a purchase then our photographer can take your details their and then credit card, switch, cash or cheques (please note cheques need to clear before prints can be handed over).

Any additional prints can be ordered at a later date and an image of your large compilation picture will be available for viewing on our website (unless requested not to)

Our aim is to capture beautifully relaxed and natural portraits that will look as good in 50 years time as they do today.
